T.J Holmes says he finds himself checking out when an argument with his girlfriend and former colleague, Amy Robach, erupts. Holmes said he checks out whenever an argument breaks out with his former colleague and girlfriend, AmyRobach. But Holmes doesn’t fight Robach. He does the exact opposite. “I don’t shout, I do not yell and I don’t do anything. I don’t name-call, I don’t get aggressive. Nothing, but I will check out,” he explained on a recent episode of their podcast, ‘Amy & T.J.’
He steps away from an argument to diffuse the situation and think clearly before trying to patch things up with Robach. Holmes explained how he’s also not the type of guy who expects his woman to say sorry for the argument to be over and then done.
“I have to work through it, and I’m trying to get better at doing it quicker,” he added. At the same time, the former GMA3 host said that Robach tends to take her sweet time to apologize to him, which he can’t stand. “It drives me crazy. Why? The Arkansas native explained that ‘I am sorry‘ is 24 hours late. He could not understand why Robach did not apologize immediately, instead of dragging the issue out, which only added fuel to the flame. “And if that’s what you do, I am out.” I’m done. “I’m checked out today.”
Robach then interjected, pointing out that he checks out for two full days. She hated this. Robach admitted that she didn’t know what to say, or do. She also wasn’t sure of his thoughts. … “I’m like, I don’t know what to say, what to do, what he thinks,” Robach admitted.
Holmes and Robach debuted their podcast earlier this month and have used it as their go-to platform to address some of their biggest controversies this past year.
