SZA talks about removing breast implants & fibrosis

SZA recently discussed her plastic surgery history and the reason for getting and reversing certain procedures. SZA, born Solana Imani Rowe, made an appearance in the S.H.E podcast. MDb – the digital program is hosted by entrepreneur and former fashion designer Mary Alice Haney and Thais Aliabadi, a board-certified OB/GYN. The “Snooze” singer admitted she was supposed to see Aliabadi before her boob job but “snuck and got it anyways.”

PEOPLE’s exclusive revealed SZA talked about her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis in addition to her aunt’s mastectomy. The 34-year-old is now considered a high risk. The crooner has a 53% chance of developing the disease in her lifetime.

Things got real after she got breast implants and had to manage fibrosis. It’s a condition that thickens and scars the tissue.

She told Haney and Aliabadi: When I got my boobs done, my doctor took out some of my fibrosis, but.. there was so much fibrosis, it was crazy. When I went back, a lot of the concerns were gone. And so, when I went back, a lot of the concerns were gone.”

The Singer Speaks On Spirituality & Her Breast Implant Removal

Further, she stated that she used spirituality to combat the condition. “I like seeing somebody spiritual about it, specifically the breast cancer situation and the marker before I had the results of the biopsy and all that, I had talked to somebody because I was like, I got to figure out what’s going on in the higher realms…” the “Open Arms” singer shared.

The singer explained how the implants were affecting her health and had to get them removed .”So basically, I put them in. SZA said that the implants hurt her. So I got extra fibrosis, like tissue, or whatever, which was painful and made me feel bad. So, I took them out, and now, they’re just my boobs.

Plastic surgeries are risky, but we’re glad to see SZA is healthy and still wealthy.
