Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe is expanding her family with her husband, Brandon Frankel. The star of ‘Precious,’ announced her first pregnancy on Instagram Tuesday (Feb.27).
But it wasn’t just the pregnancy that was a surprise! They also revealed that they are expecting two babies. You read it correctly. “I’m expecting! We decided it was about time we gave our cats some responsibility, so we are giving them each one baby to look after! Double babies, double cats, twice the fun! Twin delivery is coming soon! Twinty Twinty Four,” the actress wrote in her caption.
Gabourey Sidibe kept her announcement simple with a carousel post featuring four photos. The couple looked like they were shopping at the Babylist Shop. It’s an in-person shopping experience part of the popular online registry for expecting families.
In the photos, Gabby Sidibe wore a hot pink, long-sleeved pink dress with black boots. Her husband wore a peach-colored sneaker, a black t-shirt, pants, and a sleeveless black dress. Two of the four pictures show Brandon holding his wife’s baby bump from behind while they both cheesed for the camera.
Another showed them posing with a double stroller, but we can’t say whether they left the store with it. In the final shot, Gabby cradles her double-occupied bump in a side profile.
The pregnancy news comes a few months after the 40-year-old revealed in December that she and Brandon had tied the knot in 2021. According to PEOPLE, she had been engaged for over a year after they met on a dating application. In 2022, she told Brides magazine that their first date lasted “more than seven hours.“
Their simple wedding, “at the kitchen table,” came about four months after the proposal.
