Christopher “Christoph” Sanders (born April 21, 1988) is an American actor who is best known for his role as Ned Banks in the television series Ghost Whisperer and Kyle Anderson in the sitcom Last Man Standing on ABC (2011-2017) and FOX (2018-2021).

Sanders was born and raised in North Carolina, specifically in Arden and nearby Hendersonville. His education was primarily home-based, during which he engaged in extracurricular activities such as soccer and participating in the Boy Scouts of America. His dedication to scouting led him to achieve the highest rank possible – Eagle Scout. Reflecting on his scouting experience, Sanders stated that it significantly shaped his perspective towards others due to the immense time and effort invested into becoming an Eagle Scout. As he grew older, Sanders considered pursuing engineering as a career path. To explore this interest, he attended drafting classes at Blue Ridge Community College for two years. He even received acceptance from UNC Wilmington but ultimately chose a different path: acting.

Sanders developed a passion for acting at 9 years old, beginning his journey at the Flat Rock Playhouse, North Carolina’s state theater. He started with basic drama classes, progressed to intermediate level and eventually was invited to join YouTheater company’s highly regarded conservatory. By the age of 18, he graduated from the program having participated in over 16 productions such as A Christmas Carol and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Sanders landed his first agent when he was just 12 years old and by 16 had featured in several television commercials for General Mills in Georgia. His film career kicked off in 2006 with a minor role in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby which was primarily shot in Charlotte, North Carolina. Shortly after that came his controversial role in Hounddog where Sanders’ character assaults a young girl played by Dakota Fanning. Despite its challenging nature, Sanders saw it as an opportunity to showcase his acting range.

In January 2007, Sanders shifted base to Los Angeles seeking more opportunities for full-time acting. Within three months he landed a part in a TV pilot but unfortunately it didn’t get picked up by the network. However after several auditions he secured roles in Legally Blondes movie and Ghost Whisperer TV show where he replaced Tyler Patrick Jones as Ned Banks.

In Last Man Standing TV series starring Tim Allen, Sanders played Kyle Anderson who was initially dating the eldest daughter of Tim Allen’s character but later becomes involved with and marries the middle daughter after producers decided to age up the eldest one.
