Ashley Park revealed that she was hospitalized after going into “critical septic shock” in a new Instagram post on Friday, January 19. The Emily In Paris star, 32, wrote a long post about her hospitalization at the end of 2023, while she was on vacation in December. She said that she was grateful to be recovering after spending the early weeks of 2024 hospitalized. As I sit here and recover from the first weeks of 2024 I can only think of one word: grateful. What started as tonsillitis during a holiday break in December and New Year’s turned into a critical septic shock that affected my organs. She said, “I am grateful that despite what was initially told, my health has improved.” She included a picture of him kissing his forehead in her hospital photos. She wrote: “You calmed me and held me through ambulances, 3 foreign hospitals, one week in ICU, terrifying ERs with countless scans, tests, and injections, excruciating discomfort, and so many confusions all while we were alone far away from our loved ones.” “I love you, Paul. “More than I can say.”
Towards her end, Ashley acknowledged that she was improving and thanked her fans for their support. She wrote: “I am still recovering…but now I know that I’m on the other side.” “I love you all. I’m healing and I promise I’m gonna be okay.”
Tons of fellow stars and fans also shared their well wishes for Ashley. Paul called her “My Love.” Lily Collins also sent her an emotional message saying that the photos had made her cry. “I love you sister, and I’m eternally grateful that you’re on this side. And for @peforman’s incredibly large heart and for always being there for you. She wrote: “I cannot wait to embrace you both.”
