Park revealed her health scare on Instagram on Jan. 19, alongside a photo of herself lying on a hospital bed with a breathing tube while being kissed on the forehead by Paul, marking the first time the two have confirmed their relationship.
“While on holiday in December into New Year, what started as tonsillitis spiraled into critical septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs,” the actress wrote. “I’m grateful that my health is improving despite what was initially told. “
Park added, “I am grateful most to @peforman who has been unconditionally by my side through all of this. You calmed me down and held me during ambulances, three foreign hospital stays, a week spent in the ICU and scary emergency rooms, countless scans, tests, and injections as well as excruciating pain and confusion. All this while we were alone, far away from our loved ones, on the other side. I love you, Paul. More than I could ever express. “
