On Saturday, January 20, the rapper took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a message that started with “Dear Trump.” As he continued, Waka requested the former president, who is now seeking reelection. Waka asked for Trump to “abolish” the October holiday, Christopher Columbus Day.
Additionally, the 37-year-old rapper referred to the holiday as an insult to Black men.”Dear Trump abolish Christopher Columbus Day… As a what’s called Blackman in the United States this holiday is a spit in our faces… Thanks from Waka Flocka Flame and the People!! !” he wrote.
