Bobby Lytes defends Trina over Beyonce female rap Remark

Trust and believe that Bobby Lytes will always be quick to defend his cousin, Trina.

The ‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’ star went on Instagram Live on Thursday (December 28) amid the criticism Trina is receiving for declaring Beyonce the “No. 1 female rapper.”

Bobby Lytes Defends Trina Taking to Instagram Live, the TV personality explained that Trina has always been a huge fan of Bey. Ironically, her decision to not mention any female rappers in the music industry may have been made to avoid backlash from some fan groups. Her joking about Beyonce’s name was just a way to lighten the mood. It was important for her to be true to herself and to those who inspire her. Boom! Trina doubles down on naming Beyonce the best rapper As reported previously, Trina spoke with HipHopDX recently. Trina, who is the singer of “Here We Go”, shared her opinion on the female rappers that she believes influenced the development of female rap. “She’s like the number one female rapper when she does rap…when you hear her do a song and its rapping involved, it’s like ‘Oh My God,’ it’s more inspiration.”

Many people contested the comment because the music industry as a whole doesn’t regard Bey as a rapper. Trina reaffirmed her claim that Bey was the best female rapper. After the video clip of her interview went viral, it wasn’t long before Trina hopped onto Instagram Story to issue a response.

For the dusty crusty funky bi***es in the back. Beyonce, when she raps, is the queen. Stay mad goofy, I said what I said, and NANN B***h went check me.”

Trina’s performance of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Moment For Life,’ performed at the 2013 BMI Awards was re-aired on X. Some people felt she could’ve shown Minaj some love in her interview, considering she had performed her song a decade prior.

When The Jasmine Brand later reposted the video on their Instagram page, Trina hopped in the comment section to stress — once again — that she had a right to her own opinion.

“Yes! “Yes! “I don’t have a problem with anyone,” she wrote. “I‘m probably the only woman artist who always shows love to all female artists. No jealousy. Here, there is no insecurity. I am your favorite fave. Do not let this go over your head. (Jokes up).”

She then followed up with another comment.

What’s the REAL problem? My choice. Who I think the queen is. What the f**k do you think it is? A f***n colt. Please leave me alone. “I hate talking to you all. Bye”

“Trina consistently showed love, paid homage to & worked with so many female rappers. She loves Beyonce – THAT’S HER IDOL – she was just giving Beyonce her flowers!”
