Karma Is the Guy on the Chiefs…Once her split from actor Joe Alwyn after six years together was confirmed in April, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was ready to shoot his shot with the superstar.
During a July 26 episode of his New Heights podcast, the Super Bowl winner shared his failed attempt at meeting the singer during her Eras Tour concert–which ended up catching Swift’s attention nonetheless.
“Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she revealed to TIME. Swift told TIME that Kelce “adorably” put her on blast in his podcast, which she thought was metal. “We had some time together that nobody knew about, and I am grateful for it because we were able to get to know each other. “
Yes, they were dating for several months before she made her appearance at the Chiefs game on Sept. 24, which nearly caused their romance to break the Internet. Swift said, “We wouldn’t be psychotic enough for a first date.” Swift and Kelce, unlike her previous relationships, haven’t shied away from being photographed together. Swift has attended six games so far, and Kelce traveled to Buenos Aires for her Eras Tour concert on Nov. 11. The singer also gave a shout-out to her boyfriend by altering a line in “Karma“. The pop star changed the word “screens” to “Chiefs” instead of singing “Karma is the guy on the screen who comes straight home to me.” After the concert, the pair were spotted kissing off-stage.
