She reportedly was sitting around a fire, casually playing Safari Qest on her smartphone. Minton was playing Safari Quest on her phone when she noticed that the jackpot had “suddenly reset.” It didn’t hit her immediately, but she did notice the jackpot. She remembered thinking “Dang, someone just hit.” She made the connection a few seconds later! Minton just won almost $1 million, or $ 912,936, as it was.
She told VA Lottery officials that she was “shocked.” “I’m in disbelief.”
